Riddiough was a critical feminist and lesbian activist in Chicago in the 1970s and 1980s; she now lives in Washington, DC and continues to work on movement issues. Her activism included the Chicago Women's Liberation Union, NOW locally and nationally, the Illinois Gay and Lesbian Task Force, the Gay and Lesbian Coalition of Metropoltan Chicago, and much more.
