Hill has been a fixture on the Chicago gay sports scene for 25 years. She has been both a participant and official, and started her second term as president of the Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association in mid-2006, replacing Peter Meyer.
Hill oversees the largest nonprofit, all-volunteer gay and lesbian sports organization in the Midwest, with about 3,000 members—including about 100 straight members.
Originally from Maple Park, Ill., Hill now lives in Chicago. Her favorite sport is softball, which she still plays for the same team she has been on for about 15 years. She was the head referee for men’s flag football at the 2005 Gay Super Bowl in San Diego, Calif. She also officiated the gold-medal game in women’s flag football at the 2006 Gay Games VII in Chicago.
