Greg Dell
Categories:   Religion   Civic/Community

Dell is a strong ally of the gay community, risking his job as pastor of Broadway United Methodist Church to back gay unions. He lost his battle with the church, and was suspended for one year. His 1990s fight put a national spotlight on the efforts to change the Methodist church's position on gays. He retired in 2007 due to health reasons, but remains a strong activist on behalf of the gay community.
