Lola Lai Jong has been important cultural and activist pioneer on lesbian and Asian LGBT issues in Chicago and internationally.
Earth Ox, Proudly Womonloving, Butchy-Femme LESBIAN, Seung-jee/Tofu fah, Chicago-born Chinese, Wordsmith, Taoist, Asian Pacific Islander Queer activist--currently involved with i2i ( Invisible to Invincible: API Pride of Chicago ) , collectively produced Lesbians of Colors programs in Chicago and Midwest, co-founded Pacifica Asian Lesbians-Chicago, co-facilitated the Womyn of Colors Tent at the Michigan Women’s Music Festival from 1987-1993, co-founded Asian American Literary and Arts Society, honored to participate in, since 1994, The Women’s Sundance Lakota Ceremony, sponsored by Beatrice McLaughlin and Charlene O’Rourke.
