Irwin Keller
Age: 64

Keller was active on Chicago gay-rights in the 1980s while at the University of Chicago. He is now a member of The Kinsey Sicks dragapella quartet. His work in Chicago included being lead author for the Chicago Human Rights Ordinance as well as participating in other activism through Gay and Lesbian Town Meeting with his then-partner Jonathan Katz. His mother Marilyn continues to be active in PFLAG Glenview; his sister Lynn is a professional bass player well respected in both lesbian women's music and mainstream music. Irwin now resides in California.

Out and Proud in Chicago: An Overview of the City's Gay Community, the book is edited by Tracy Baim and features the contributions of more than 20 prominent historians and journalists. It is published by Surrey Books, an Agate imprint, and is hard cover, 224 pages, 4-color, with nearly 400 photos.
